FROM 31ST MARCH TO JULY 31ST, EACH COUNTRY HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO ORGANIZE A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TO SELECT THE PLOGGERS TEAM AS REPRESENTATIVES AT THE FIRST WORLD TEAM PLOGGING CHAMPIONISHIP.
The Plogging International Committee has released on the website the regulations and the application form for the selection of National Team Plogging Championship organizers. Those who are interested in forming a National Committee and organizing their National Team Plogging Championship can apply by March 15th, 2024.
The International Committee will evaluate all the received applications and on March 30th will publish the list of all the National Team Plogging Championships that will take place between March 31st and July 31st, 2024. The National Championships will select the ploggers who will set up the various national teams competing for the first World Team Plogging title in Italy at the end of 2024.
Those who wish to officially organize an accredited National Team Plogging Championship in their country need to download the regulations with all the competition specifics and the application form to be filled out and sent to the email address info@worldploggingchampionship.com by March 15th.
Roberto Cavallo, technical director of the World Team Plogging Championship, states,
“With the introduction of the team world championship, we add a new discipline to the World Plogging Championship, following trail plogging and urban plogging. An additional opportunity for a sport that is becoming more and more widespread. We are confident that the World Team Plogging Championship is going to be a success as well, and that we will meet in Italy to compete for the first team gold award – of course, in the name of a cleaner world!”.
The World Team Plogging Championship represents a further step forward for this discipline which combines sport and environmental protection, gaining more and more supporters and enthusiasts worldwide, day by day. The first three editions of the individual World Plogging Championship, held in Italy in Val Pellice, Val Chisone (the Olympic Valleys), and in 2023 in Genoa, were indeed successful. Requests and proposals from various takes, along with the awareness that this discipline can be a formidable catalyst for spreading the values of sports and environmental sustainability, as well as those of teamwork and participation, prompted the World Plogging Championship organizing committee to launch this new competition, eager to involve many teams and countries.
