200 million of shards every year snow on the Valle d’Aosta mountains: 80 million are microplastics.
ERICA Soc. Coop, in collaboration with the European Research Institute and VdATrailers, company that organizes Tor des Géants® event, and AICA, carried out a sampling campaign on the remaining snow in 2019. From this research, it has been published the first report, named “Nevica Plastica” (Plastic Snows).
